Word For Today – Peace
Scripture
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” — John 14:27 ESV
Devotion – “The Peace of Christ: Steady in Every Storm”
Today, I reflect on the word “Peace.” I thank God for the Peace of Christ, which steadies my heart and strengthens my trust in God. Unlike worldly peace, which depends on circumstances, Christ’s Peace brings reconciliation with God, inner stability, and confidence in God’s divine favor. Even amid suffering, trials, and uncertainty, we can rest in God’s faithful promises. Through Jesus Christ and the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are assured that God’s presence remains constant. Let us refuse to surrender to fear and embrace the lasting Peace that only Christ can give.
Reflection
True Peace is not the absence of trouble but the assurance of Christ’s presence in every circumstance. When fear, uncertainty, or life’s challenges threaten to overwhelm us, we can choose to trust God’s promises rather than our circumstances. Ask: Am I allowing the “Peace” of Christ to guide my thoughts, calm my fears, and strengthen my faith, or am I allowing life’s uncertainties to disturb my heart?

May Your Peace strengthen me during trials, comfort me in difficult moments, and guide me toward reconciliation and love.
